The Step Forward Scholarship Fund, Inc. (SFSF) seeks to provide financial support to qualifying Governors Club employees and their children, to help them achieve their educational and career aspirations.
The SFSF is an independent, not-for-profit organization run entirely by GC volunteers. Our goal is to raise funds each year to provide scholarships for a majority of applicants who meet our well-defined scholastic standards. The scholarships may be for degreed programs as well as individual courses that help advance career goals. In some cases, scholarship funds may be used for the purchase of books and equipment required for coursework. Please see the website sub-sections for further details.
Our applicants are evaluated based on a set of criteria established by the Step Forward Board of Directors. Step Forward awarded 26 scholarships in 2024 consisting of 11 employees and 15 children or dependents of employees. The scholarship recipients were announced in September 2024 during SFSF’s annual meeting and celebratory dinner open to all members of Governors Club. Additionally, the organization made 25 awards in 2023. Please refer to “Recipients” on this website for a list of present and past awardees back to our inception.
